What we’re building

People don’t need more events. They need better rooms.

Social Circle is a two-sided marketplace for curated offline experiences. A host opens a room and decides what it is for. Guests apply rather than buy a ticket blind. Curation is what makes the evening work — so curation, not the activity, is the product.

How it works

  1. 01

    A host opens a room

They define who it's for, why it exists and what happens inside. That definition is the room.

  2. 02

    Guests apply

Applying, not booking. You say why you belong in it, and a person reads it.

  3. 03

    The room is curated

The host chooses the group. Everyone walks in knowing why the others are there.

Being straight about the stage

We’ve run rooms. We haven’t proven the marketplace.

What exists today

  • A few rooms, run by us start to finish
  • Filled without paying to get people there
  • This site, and applications read by hand

What we're building

  • The marketplace itself
  • Host tools and the application flow
  • Curation, payments and reputation
  • Room discovery and host enablement

What comes next

  • A host who isn't us opening a room that works
  • Rooms that repeat
  • Enough supply for real choice
  • Guests who come back

The pilot rooms were run by us. They show people will pay for a well-curated room. They do not yet show that independent hosts can do the same repeatedly — that is the thing being tested now, which is why the hosting side of this site is open.
